From Early Passion to Premier Salon Owner
Flo’s vision took root in 2012 with the opening of Taylor Rose Hair Studio in West Hollywood—a 500 sq ft. dream built on passion and purpose. By 2017, it had blossomed into a chic 2,000 sq ft. haven known for celebrating diversity, delivering quality service, and showcasing bold, stylish flair. Driven by a deep love for creative expression and client transformation, Flo approaches every style as an opportunity to uplift, empower, and celebrate individuality.
Texture Specialist & Inclusive Stylist
Flo isn’t just a stylist - she’s a texture maestro. Her salon caters to all hair types with expertise in braids, weaves, silk presses, extensions, and natural curls. “I look at hair as a language of its own,” she told Canyon News, noting clients come from around the globe to experience her craft.
Advocate, Educator, Interpreter
Beyond her styling expertise, Flo is deeply committed to education and inclusivity, empowering clients to understand and embrace the uniqueness of their own hair. She believes that hair is deeply personal, what works for one person may not work for another, and she helps each client find styles and techniques that celebrate their individuality. As a certified sign language interpreter, she also creates a welcoming space for the deaf community - further reflecting her belief that beauty and self-expression should be accessible to all.
Award‑Winning Behind the Scenes
Flo’s talents extend behind the camera, where her expertise in creating polished, high-performance looks has made her a standout in the industry. She recently won the MUAH Award for Best Contemporary Hair Styling on a TV Special or Live Program Series for her work on Dancing with the Stars, and in 2025, she received her first Emmy nomination for outstanding hairstyling. Her work behind the scenes of film, TV, and red carpet events reflects a deep understanding of texture, style, and storytelling - making her a go-to for industry insiders who want camera-ready results with a personal touch.
On-Screen Credits
Flo brings her artistry to screen as well. She’s credited as a hairstylist on shows like Rap Sh!t (2022), Uncensored (2018), The Glee Project (2012), and Hollywood Divas (2014) adding contemporary texture and flair to notable productions.
Why We Celebrate Flo Witherspoon
Flo is more than just a hairstylist - she’s a storyteller, educator, and award winner. She’s built a space where hair is both art and activism, blending technical excellence with heart. Whether it’s braids that transcend culture, shine that steals the spotlight, or styling that empowers every individual, Flo crafts experiences as much as she does looks.
